I would just like to add my pence worth!

We have been going down to BS now a couple of days at a time for nearly a year. I must admit it was only recently that we came across a few other roads leading to some nice and resonable hotels/guest houses, and Huts/bungalows (which is what I think BB is refering to).
We found a nice clean place with appox. 12 Huts/bungalows on the beach with A/C, TV, Fridge and Hot water (not well water) for 650Bht per night. The inside of the Bungalow was very clean. We did have a little trouble with the ants on the patio though, caused by overhanging flowering plants, not dirt. But a little ant spray soon sorted them out. I do hope you try and visit again as the area and locals are friendly and accommodating!

Nice website Buksida, ja,and i went to bangsaphan in jan just for the day and night,as her daughter was living there at the time.
i can remember driving down the high street past the 2 7/11.then turning left at the junction on the beach.we followed the road,until it turned a sharp right and crossed a bridge,till we reached another junction.
turning right eventually comes to a dead end .turning left we came to a small cove next to a temple,and a few restuarants.
Now having seen your website we will certainly be going again.

Can anyone tell me where to find times/classes for the trains from Hun Hin to Bang Saphan and back?
My usual site doesn't show them and a Google search didn't show anything.

Seems strange that Bang Saphang isn't mentioned, but I would assume that your station would be Ban Krut?????
The HH railway station number is listed here:

so it's perhaps better to check first.

I've been visiting Ban Krut for a few days in late feb, early march for the last four years with my wife and visiting brother and father from Canada. We really like the place.

I stumbled upon Ban Krut by accident. I was staying in Ao Manao. One day was a bit grey and rainy so we got into the car and headed down to BangSaphan. We had a nice lunch on the seafront there then headed north trying to follow the seashore. After a few wrong turns and dead ends we ended up on the BK beach road. Stopped in at a few places and had some snacks and cold ones at The Beach resto. That was in 2004 IIRC, we liked the place so much we headed back there the next year, and have been there every year since. We have always stayed at the Ratchawadee. The bungalows and grounds are excellent, and the beachfront is clean and well-kept.
