Mr. Lid
Nope the fish aren't too big just yet - although some of them are capable of pulling a muscle or two.
An old 'war wound' like what you get when you put a 'Triumph Thunderbird' through a roundabout at 80m.p.h. is giving me jiep again.
The blind massage folk next to 'Golden Place' are very good but I am looking for a specialist without going all the way to Bangkok for regular treatment.

Go into Soi 88/1 beside Market Vilage, Physio up there on the right side - her name is Natapat and she has unpulled my neck on a few occasions! Jokin aside she does a great job, many locals use her on a regular basis. One of the topp Asia tour golfers has been seeing her to help him recover for a serious injury.

You can consult a Physiotherapist at the Hua Hin Hospital. They are cheap and skilled. My girfriend was there today and pre-bocked 5 treatments for 1900,- THB.
She felt better after the first treatment today. She has a lot of pain in her right shulder after a tracking accident at the Pala U waterfalls 3 mounths ago !

Always look at the bright side of life !
No worries Terry! She has done a great job for me - 500baht a session - for me this involved a hot towel wrap around my neck and shoulder (super hot btw), followed by ultrasound on the affected area, neck stretch machine thing (this is a weird thing that slowly cranks your neck... u just lie there hoping it knows when to stop!) then a deep massage, can take a couple of hours as she may be working on more than 1 person at a time.
I thought the problem was golf related, but she worked out quickly that it was down to my right hand dominated typing and bad sitting position at work.
Best.

First visit – progress report
After several very good recommendations starting with JW, I finally made it to khun Napats’ place in Soi 88/1 this morning.
I did not tell her that I had already been to Bumrungrad with my ‘problem’ and that I had already received some treatment for it.
After a few pushes and pulls, she diagnosed the now very common ailment of stiff shoulder and arm due to ‘bad posture’ caused by many years of computer use.
I have probably spent up to 10 hours a day at a keyboard for the last 5 – 6 years!
This diagnosis was the same as Bumrungrad.
Treatment
I have started several days of intensive (2 hrs a day) treatment which consists of
a) Hot towel / blanket wrap on the afflicted area
b) Deep massage with ‘Tiger Balm’ or similar
c) Ultrasound
d) Another deep massage
e) Arm stretch with weights
f) Arm stretch on pulleys
g) Another massage
h) Ice cold pack
i) Final toning massage
j) Cup of ginger tea!!!!
For the record – at Bumrungrad I only received stages a), c), Massage (No Balm) and then h) – per session.
I definitely felt that I had had a good ‘session’, and the arm does feel a little less ‘tight’. It will clearly take a few more sessions before I can honestly say that there might be progress. Sad to say that, whilst I am a firm believer in the quality of Bumrungrad treatments in other areas, there was really no sign of improvement after my treatment there.
Bumrungrad THB 1,400
Khun Natapat THB 550
It seems – a no brainer.
Khun Napat speaks good English, has a great sense of humor, a great taste in music ranging from Classical Thai through Orchestral Thai to Thin Lizzy!
Another report to follow after the next few sessions – thanks JW (& Others)

Another update
My first 'sesions were nine in total - over a period of 2 1/2 weeks
I then had to return to smelly Delhi to do some contract work.
Whilst there I carried out the various exercises as prescribed by K. Napat + I used an electric heat pad almost every night before bed.
I went back last Monday and today and will have a final 'session' on Friday this week.
I cannot stress enough, as to how K. Napat and her staff have relieved my shoulder pains that were really quite intolerable.
If any of you out there are in need of any physiotherapy I cannot recommend these guys enough.
Fantastic service and in our own town

Thanks for the report Terry.
I also have an old war wound - dislocated a shoulder a few decades ago playing rugby - now if i put my arm behind my back i cant raise it above waist level and it's friggin painful a lot of the time.
Does anyone think physio would help?
Otherwise I'll make an appointment and just give it a go
