I did this a bit quick so dont judge me on quality please. I know the tree line is iffy just didn't have time to fiddle with it.

Its just to offer another perspective...

If I had the time i'd have taken out the bloke on the ground with the yellow jacket.

Wow, did you put the dark clouds in, Randy? They sure aren't visible in the original shot.

The clouds were there already I just had to adjust the contrast levels. I adjusted the sky more than the plane thats why the tree line turned out iffy as I didn't have time to fade it in better.

I also had to create more sky and ground on the left hand side. With time that could have looked better also. But it was just to give a diffrent perspective on the composition.

As Cowboy stated earlier its best to take shots on the highest quality setting. This gives you more scope to crop down later, hopefully giving you more options...

In the end of the day though its very subjective and you can get awfully anal about these things. The bottom line is - if you enjoy what you take and it looks good to you then it is good...

Yeah, good pic of the Spitfire, lucky to see it out and about, not many left now that can fly, might be less than five in the UK now. Be interesting to know where you took the photo.

I have taken all the pictures on my blog site with my trusty Canon G5 which has been round the world with me and has survived all manner of horrible occurences, but still works like a dream.

The new Canon G10 (below) looks amazing. Its 14.7 mega pixels!! and is about £350 in the shops.

Its the camera i'd buy if I had the money. If only...

That must be a very early Mark Spitfire, with only a 3 bladed prop. As you say, not many left now, so should not be too hard to identify.

As an aside, the RTAF have a very late model example in their museum.

Thanks Steve! That explains why it does not look "right", especially little, or no, dihedral on the wings, along with it`s propeller!

I'd say get closer to your subject or strap on a telephoto instead of buying a camera with 50 MP ... its kinda cheating!

Since we have some interest in photography here would anyone be interested in starting up a Hua Hin photography club where we meet up now any then, share tips, good spots to photograph, recommendations on kit etc etc?

If so I'll start a new thread and get it rolling ...

It's a good idea Buksi, if there's enough members in the HH area, sound subject/activity to base it on and more than scenic enough around HH. I'd go if one was on while I'm in HH every now and then, but I'm mainly stuck working in the northeast most of the time so couldn't be relied upon to be a regular contributer in person.

Its Glastonbury Tor. Spent 2006/2007 new years there, Was a bit chilly and wet on the night, Nice the morning after, The Stones are at Avebury.

B_W The pic was taken in Kampaeng Phet, Theres an English chap lives up the road from my friends wife, We stopped there and i took some pics, No view at his wifes house as it was all sugarcane and not much else.
Not going to Petchabun now,Things have changed

The plane pic was taken at an airshow south of Norwich last summer.

Would it be fair to say, Some of the best pics have been touched up one way or another?
