Hua Hin Golf Gossip
Sunday at Sam Roi Yod
I don't expect many know of the delightful nine hole course in this spectacular location. Well, 17 of us, mostly children played and I'm delighted to say we played a 17 ball!! Yes, I know there are going to be loads of you out there saying all sorts of things about that, but you see we let through a Thai 7 ball and had the place to ourselves, and did the kids enjoy! And they learnt.
I recommend a day there, beach, beer if you are so inclind and fun golf with some lovely holes. The course is an army course, it is not in great condition, but it has a wonderful appeal~and it is free!!

Following on from the post above, it is possible that a Sunday children's clinic competition my be held on this course under the guidance of a local pro~more on this later, but anyone who wants to contribute an idea for this let us know.
It is also possible to hit the ball over the green on the third hole with a kids junior wood.
I'll post some pics of the course shortly, its a great little spot.

Never been to the course but love the area, could it be made a once a month deal - get the kids into it, I know that there would be a few of us who would be more than happy to help the kids out with some real basic stuff - like dont hit your best buddy with a golf stick!
Nothing better than seeing kids smashing a golf balls.... love it!

JW Thanks for the offer--ACCEPTED!-- Yes, a couple of us are hoping to get this up and running and you are right, the sight last weekend of these kids smacking a ball and having real fun whilst at the same time learning was unbelievable to see. One or two also showed some real promise. Be in touch either here or at PEPPERS.

A couple of golf tips from a newbie - do not under any circumstances let your wife near the clubs. This is for one of two primary reasons:
1) She'll take your head off with them ... or ...
2) She'll want to play herself and end up hitting it further than you
Or if you're a really unlucky bastard like me both will happen!
