Just throwing out an idea. Why don't you try to sign up some sponsors who will pledge x amount concerning your race(s), to be donated to Dawn's HHDRC to help them build the new facility?

The pledge doesn't have to be about winning or placing but, perhaps about who gets the most drunk first, who falls into the water first, who needs the paramedics first, etc. Something fun. Am sure some bar owners there and others would be game if presented properly, and you wear their t-shirt, hat or logo in the race. Pete

Barrys, I'll come along with a friend from Bangkok but we'll leave a bit earlier on our bikes and do a bit of touring. Unless it rains of course in which case I'll see you at the car park.

You did mean the 20th, didn't you?
Anyway, for it's worth, I'll be there at the car park. No transport though. Looking forward to it - I think

Thanks again Barrys. Rumour is that more sponsors are joining in. Maybe next time we'll actually have to sweat out as well. An interesting thing this time is that somebody was very keen to move to live in the jungle.

Still think you were wrong, BG to hold him back! He wanted to go & co-exist with the creatures in the mangrove & I think it was mean of you not to let him! :D

Wondeful hospitality - thank you Barrys & the best chicken curry I've had in a long time! Aroy mak! :D

Looks like we'll have to really work up a sweat & earn our food next time, those Thai teams practicing on the river were serious stuff! :D

Good fun & our Thai coach thinks it's wonderful that farang are actually doing this, so, see you all (& hopefully some new recruits!) next week!

BTW, will be nice to see some Evason guys turn up, as well! :thumb:

I have intended to come along but this time of the month (ooer!) isn't good for me - next Sunday is also out because of a visa run on the Monday, but I will try to be there the following week. Can anyone tell me what time it finishes though, as I have a regular webcam link up with my family on Sundays at around 4-5 pm? To show commitment to the cause though I will suggest changing this to Saturdays... :D
