A belated thanks to Terry for the great hospitality at the wind-down do last Sunday.

Great time, great food and great company

Those of us there were talking and think it would be a good idea to meet up to do something once a month.

Any ideas out there.

I'll start the ball rolling by offering a trip down to Kao Sam Roi Yod on our 70 ft passenger boat, the Peacock.

Great idea! I'm up for it - we don't have to paddle do we? :thumb:

A serious observation. If you folks have the grit, set up a hard practice every two weeks from now until the next regatta. Then, watch the rolling eyeballs of all/most of those crews who beat you this year as they eat your wake. Get you fit and healthy at the same time. Pete

yehright....

Have you SEEN the opposition - let alone paddled against them.

We will be back next year and for sure we can do better.

I for one would like to be able to get some improvement - bit let's please remain realistic.

I want to just win our first race, this time. The word on the riverside was that we hadn't even finished!  That is what friends of mine were told when they came later & asked about us. Just win the first heat, that's what I want for next year! :thumb: Anything else is a bonus!

Practising would be a good idea and a nice way to spend Sunday afternoons. However, we don't have a boat. This one Barry rented and I'm not sure how much that would cost if we rented one for the whole year. Buy one, you might suggest - the cheapest ones cost 300,000 Baht. Anybody to sponsor a boat for us?
