Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
The only "downside" to taking the bus is booking it online. Firstly when you click the down arrow to select a departure you are presented a wide range of departure times, but oddly, most of them don't really exist.
I've taken, and booked online, the bus four times now, and for two of the bookings I kept getting a time out message to the effect that I was taking too long for the transaction. Even after RUSHING through the transaction the next time. Of course, the seat I had selected the first time was unavailable the second and third times, but that's not such a big deal when the buses aren't full.
The bank verification system froze a couple times, as well, requiring a start over from the beginning.
But, don't let the finicky reservation system turn you off, the bus service itself is well worth it.
Also, the web site quotes the baggage policy as one free checked and one free carry-on, with additional bags charged at B20 each. However, on my last trip I had two checked bags in each direction plus a carry-on, and was not charged.

Would you recommend booking online then?
Are they usually pretty full?

I've never seen a full one yet. However, that doesn't mean they don't get full from time to time.

What happens if your flight is delayed, or immigration are slow? If you miss your connection, is your booked ticket transferable?

I booked at the bus station 2 days in advance for the 9am departure.....
The lady went to great length to make sure that I wanted the 9am..... And to make sure that I was not late for the bus as the ticket was not transferrable.....
In fact..... Although I do not have the ticket now..... I am pretty sure it was annotated on the ticket...

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
My girlfriend was headhunted and stopped working there last month but from what I can gather, the buses are on occasion full but if they are fully booked in advance they lay on another bus, so I would recommend booking in advance if you can. Also with regards the ticket being transferable, they regularly put someone on the next bus if they're late... So long as it isn't full already. I have family coming out this week and they've booked a bus a few hours after they land for fear of missing the first one after they land but I'm pretty sure if they get there on time and it's not full, they will get on the first bus.

Give him a break! You obviously have not worked in the Middle East, where you have to keep pausing for the dust storm to thin out a bit so that you can see the keyboard.dtaai-maai wrote:Fortunately..... it doesn't pause..... as often as...... Sand_dancer.....![]()

I wrote on here earlier that if possible, to save farting-about online, try send a mate to the bus station here to book for you (& pay).
It is a long low-season here & I do hope the service can keep going, despite having to run a service with low passenger-numbers..let's hope we're still posting about them this time NEXT year..

Was wanting to book tomorrow. 12 noon shown on front page. On booking page 1pm onlyI would recommend booking in advance if you can

Why does a business that relies mainly upon people booking and unable to go to the office have such a cheap and useless booking system?
