It's actually quite a luxurious ride as well. Only 3 seats across that recline to flat beds. Drinking water also included in the price.

big boy,

flat bed, as in the airline sense, means a seat that goes down to 180 degrees. i.e. it is completely flat. many business class seats have an angle of about 160 degrees (so you can slip down while sleeping).

The coach while good only has backrests that recline 45 degrees, not flat bed seats ! Leg room is good, but if the seat in front is also reclined then your knees can touch the back of the seat. Unless there is a secret row I havnt found :-)

golf clubs are extra 20 baht ( as is any extra luggage after first bag).

would think that this service has put a big dent in HH taxis. It is comfortable, it is clean, it is quite easy to sleep on, and it is a big improvement on the minibuses (or most taxis).

OK, I'll stand corrected. I haven't used the service personally yet, but am just reporting what friends who have used are reporting back.

its 180b from Victory Monument to HH, so 300b from Swampy to HH is a real deal even before you consider the added comfort level. In fact double that price would still be a bargain, but don't tell them that I said that.

If using the service to the airport from Hua Hin, you should allow 4 hours travel time and not three as is quoted on the site.

I think the layout is really good. First time I've ever seen a 2 - 1 layout, and that caters nicely for single travellers.

you should allow 4 hours, but leaving at 2pm a few days after songkran, it took 3 hours 10 mins to the airport. coming back last week on Friday from the airport at 1.30 it was 3 hours 20 mins. quite impressive really.

for eden, I am not sure why anyone would want to go the southern bus terminal. what do you do then....

Did that same book tell you how to get to the Southern Bus Terminal, and how much that might cost you?

Used the service last week and really enjoyed the trip, good safe driver and nice staff. Seats good and slept a lot of the way - took us 3 hr 20 mins, then about an hr to get into Asoke. The trip into central BKK cost about 370 baht instead of 2000k by taxi - so I looked on it as a free nights stay.
Will defo use again in the future. :)

Is it the trip from Suvanabumi (sp?) to Asoke that cost 370 Baht, or was that the cost of bus + skytrain?

I have used the bus a number of times with the longest time just under 3.5 hours, but generally it has taken less than 3.25hrs - so why 4 hours from Hua Hin ?
It does not matter where you come from, it's where you are going that matters.

Have you ever missed a flight? I stopped at the terminal to buy a ticket and that is what they said to allow for travel time. So I quoted that. Check in closes 1 hour before flight and gates close 30 minutes before flight. The website says 3 hours. First bus at 7:00AM. So if you have a flight at 12:00, are you going to risk traffic, check in, immigration security to make your flight? If it actually took 4 hours, leaving at 7:00AM, then you would not get to the counter in time to check in. So 4 hours allowed, makes since to me, in deciding either which bus to take or if I need to book a taxi instead.

Exactly, it's a no brainer.

I'd rather get a 2k Taxi than mess about going to Sai Tai Mai but I'll be trying this new bus in 7 weeks.

You can book online too.

I agree that you always have to assume that thee will be traffic problems ant it may take 3h 30min .A few weeks ago we took a private mini at 6am and were in the airport terminal in 2hours 40min, but you cant rely on that. The cost of this service considering the comfort level and ability to take luggage is a real steal.
