Do you have any plans to have a service from Hua Hin to Don Muang?

From Bell Travel
"We didn't provide for this route. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

I recommend you to takes free shuttle bus from Suvarnabhumi airport to Don Muang on level 2 exit 3."

This may be a silly question but why isn't there any mention of the train as an option?

Maybe because this is the "Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin" thread :)

And anyway you would have to find a train that goes at the right time and then transfer too many times

find a train 4 hours earlier to allow for the train being late.

Of course you can get a train from HH to Don Meuang. HH -> Bang Seu, then change train -> Don Meuang. Very, very cheap in 3rd class. You really, really don't want to be in a hurry though. :D

The only fly in the ointment regarding the airport bus service is the bloody booking web site!

Of the six bookings I've made (twice I just showed up with no booking), three of them sent me in circles.

Today, about 1.5 hours ago, trying to book the 0900 bus from Hua Hin tomorrow:

First attempt it stalled after I had chosen my seat but before going to the Kasikorn verification site.

Second attempt, I got through the Kasikorn verification site -- entered credit card info, and logged into the verification area with password and proceeded to a *blank* screen which sat there for ten minutes.

I've waited an hour and a half now, and no confirmation e-mail has arrived, so I don't *think* I was charged nor was a booking made, but when I check the seating configuration for the 0900 bus, *both* seats I had selected (one on each booking attempt) are still shown as not available. How long will they hold a seat from inventory if the booking is aborted/never completed?

If I try again -- a third attempt -- currently the only single seat available is the one opposite the toilet. Ugh.

Okay, I waited another 1.5 hours (3 hours from original attempt to book). I took it as a personal challenge and have now systemically blocked 6 out of 7 of the remaining seats on that 0900 bus. The last remaining seat is the one opposite the toilet. Someone else is welcome to it.

Each of the *six* booking attempts bombed out at a different point in the process. Simply amazing.

I have heard of the internet booking problems so every time I need to go I just drive to the booking office, it may take up 20 mins but what the hell, we do have the time.

Took the 1200 bus from HH to Swampy yesterday. Travel time 3.5 hrs. 9 passengers. Let off at door 8 on the 3rd floor.

Coming back at 4.30 we left 15 minutes late. 3 hrs 15 mins. 15 passengers. When departing, use door 8 on the ground floor.

I booked and paid the day before at the HH Bus station since I don't want my credit card details online.

They allocated seats towards the front without me asking. Hadn't given the toilet a thought. It is certainly a challenge.

It was comfortable and cheaper than me driving there and back and I shall definitely use them again.

What is the best way to get into the city from Swampy then once the bus drops you at the airport?

I would imagine the airport shuttle train. I used it last year both to and from the airport. Can't remember the timetable but the quick one was excellent. Maybe every 20-30 mins and took about 30 mins direct to the BTS station - the one heading east after Victory Monument.
The walk from that station to the BTS is easy - 5 mins - and the skytrain is there for onward movement.
If I remember correctly, there are two trains that go to and from Swampy. The one above is the one to get. The other is more a commuter train that stops a number of times en route.
