My company senta young Thai lady to Australia for several months experience and training. Here she was in charge of Quality Control. Generally in Thai the QC officer should be named the Cover-up officer as that is what they do. She did very well in Aus and the Aussie contact who had worked in Thai previously was impressed on how quickly she adopted the Aus attitudes to QC, She came back to Thai and immediately resumed her position as C-U officer. She was surprised that we were surprised at her lack of change and was not using the methods that she had learnt in Aus--she said-- That is good in Australia, not good in Thailand.
