Swimming in the local canals

Post by TingTongJohn »

ANyone here every get the nerve to take a dip in the local watering holes like those little kids who jump and splash around like its the greatest thing. I my self would never do it but that me. I remember in Bangkok in a water taxi traveling along and see these workers fixing a retaining wall in a canal as sewage poured out of a line beside them. Up to their chests in the muck... Yuck...
One word is not a story but it is the beginning and end of one.

In Thailand and many other countries, they still do things that we could do before and consider very dangerous now...
Security has become most important for us, but life is basically dangerous and trying to avoid every danger is avoiding real life as well.
