Thailand Life

Post by PeteC »

Don't know if residents and guests are familiar with the below web site. It is one of the best if not the best I've ever seen about all aspects of Thai life. It's authored by a kid who has been working on it for a few years, in fact, he is a man now, not a kid any longer. A very worthwhile browse. Pete

Not a bad website indeed.

The motorbike section had me chuckling!

I think the websites donations scheme seems to of more than paid for the website though!

Yep, its a good 'un. It used to have a really good section for Thai learners - haven't looked for a while so don't know if it's still there. Another good site for short 'essays' on Thai culture is:

http://www.thaiworldview.com

It is much less of a personal take on thailand but has really good 'snap-shot' summaries of all aspects of Thai life. It also has a forum but it is very quiet. It is very much worth a look at for the cultural stuff though, especially for newcomers or first timers.
