Hua Hin to Koh Tao?

Hi all... my first post on here, wonder if you can help?

Was wondering is it possible to get a boat from Hua Hin to Koh Tao or is the only way to get there via Hua Hin to get the bus down to Chompon?

One teacher at school seems to think you can get there direct from Hua Hin but not seen this advertised anywhere.

Need to go to chumphon first and take a boat there

there is the high speed ferry from chumphon the company have a booking office here in hua hin and private bus service

The Lomprayah runs a daily trip from BKK- Koh Tao, the connecting bus leaves here at about 08.30. The Cat leaves Chumphon at 13.00.

No direct service over sea from Hua Hin to ...... anywhere.

Bus takes 3.5 hours approx.
