Has anyone actually booked a flight from HH to CM on the Kan Air web site? there is a flight Friday and Sunday on the schedule but on the drop down section on the right HH does not show up. My wife (Thai) phoned the number on the web page and said they were totally unhelpful.

Update, I emailed Kan Air and received a polite and quick response, they have already cancelled the HH to CM flights but are hoping to start again soon. I guess it all comes down to how many passengers they get, if not enough how can they possibly keep it going.

Kan Air spreads wings with new fleet
Commuter airline Kan Air has entered a new era of growth with the deployment of a new fleet of turboprop aircraft.
The privately owned carrier earlier this month began to fly its first ATR 72-500 propeller and is due to take delivery of the second one around the middle of next month.
On its radar screen are a few more lease contracts next year so it can embark on a strategic expansion focusing on secondary domestic routes.
The introduction of the world's best-selling turboprop is an important step for the nine-year-old airline as the ATR 72-500 is the largest aircraft for the operator.
Until recently, Kan Air, owned by Kannithi Aviation, was only operating two small aircraft - a single-engine Cessna Grand Caravan 208B propeller with 12 seats, and Hawker Beechcraft Premier I, a six-seat executive jet that the airline normally avails for charter services.
The arrival of ATR 72-500s, with the first two leased from Nordic Aviation Capital Pte, a Singapore-based aircraft leasing firm, will enable Kan Air to expand in the way not possible by its two small aircraft.

This news article could probably do with it's own thread, as I believe the HH-Chaing Mai service has stopped?
Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Ma
Not really, if you actually read the article you'll see this about half way down ...
When the second French-Italian made turboprop joins Kan Air in mid-January, the airline plans to add three routes — Chiang Mai-Nakhon Ratchasima, Chiang Mai-Hua Hin and Bangkok-Mae Sod, Kan Air president and founder Somphong Sooksanguan told the Bangkok Post. Chiang Mai-Nakhon Ratchsima is a brand new route by any airline whereas Chiang Mai-Hua Hin and Bangkok-Mae Sot sectors are being reintroduced after a pause.

Ah that's great news then

Yes we flew recently to and from Chiang Mai (CNX) on Kan Air and I must say the service was excellent.
The plane seats 66 and the flight was surprisingly smooth. Air time about 90 minutes. Hope the route is successful as it provides an easy way to get to CNX for a few days from Hua HIn.

Thinking of taking the trip - anyone know what Hua Hin airport charge for parking per day?

Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai
I booked with Kan Air online this evening. Everything seemed to have worked i.e. no failure message, but no success message/e-mail confirmation either. I sat twiddling my thumbs for about 30 minutes, and when nothing had happened, I felt that I had to phone them.
They confirmed the transaction had failed (couldn't give a reason), and I ended up giving the detail over the phone to complete my booking.
I was not impressed with their online booking one little bit, and wouldn't recommend it. The telephone service was very good, and the spoken English was fine.
