Additional flights to Hua Hin

Post by Grunter »

Does anyone know if any of the airlines are going to be putting any additional flights from Hua Hin to BKK & vice versa???? I do know that Nok Air fly but only on Fridays & Sundays, which is not the greatest for me as I would be flying on Tuesday's every 4 weeks to return to work. But the Friday one works out good for getting home at least.

Does not look like that. Nok Air recently canceled all their Thursday flights between Bangkok and Hua Hin for at least February and March.

Not likely. There seems to be a lack of passegers.

This is the third time since I've been living here that an airline has tried the Bangkok-Hua Hin run and it never succeeds for long. They just don't get enough passengers. The last time before Nok Air started the current schedule a couple visited us from the U.S. and flew to Hua Hin. We met them at the airport and the plane had them and one other passenger.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Years ago when the Bangkok Airlines flights used to 'drop in' on their way to/from Samui..they seemed to be quite well patronised..I'd use this flight to/from D.M. on many occasions..& for Samui passengers the H.H. wait was minimal. It would be good to get that daily service again.

I second Grunter, I used them when they were operational and the links with Bangkok and Samui were excellent.....bring those flights back!

Like I say I travel every 4 weeks in & out of Bangkok, so would be great to fly 1/2hr instead of going via road

Ive used NOK air a few times over the past few months and there always empty!

I can't see these flights lasting much longer. Maybe it was just a 'High season' thing!

As far as I remember this is at least the 3rd operator I have used over recent years and all have failed due to a lack passengers!

After I had booked my tickets for Thursday March 6th and was choosing the seats, there were no other seats taken. And after we had to re-schedule for Friday 7th after they canceled the Thursday flights and had to chose the seats for that flight also then was all the seats available for selecting.

There's a story in the news somewhere that NOK just ordered quite a few new prop driven planes at the Singapore air show. I assume they'll be used for regional airport routes. Pete

Here it is mentioned that they have ordered 2 turboprops (Q4 100) from Bombardier and planning to buy more.

They have also committed to buy some jets from Boeing, eight next generation 737-800s and seven 737 MAX 8s.

^ Yes, found the articles and it is Bangkok Air, not NOK, ordering a greater number of turbo props. Articles below.
