I will be sure to contact the Call Center the morning of the flight and ask them if the 5pm flight from HH is still running. Thx for the info..

In October a friend of mine flew them from Hua Hin to Bangkok. He showed up around 415pm for the 500pm flight. They walked him to the airplane and departed at 430pm. There were only two passengers (including him) so apparently when everybody they expect shows up, they go!

1. Taxi - Did it last month, 4 hours 2000 baht.
2. Fly to BKK then taxi or coach from BKK airport to Pattaya. Not sure how long this will take total.
3. Minibus, 400 baht, but it does not stop in Bangkok, it goes around to save time. They quote 4 hours but last time a lady friend took it here and back to Pattaya and it took 5 hours here and 6 hours back so as usual, what they say is not always how it actually is, depends on traffic.

Just want to experiment with all 3 to get a feel for total hours vs money spent and see if there is a clear winner in my mind. Kind of wish the ferry was still running, for 3000 baht and a little over 3 hours (from what I remember on the website, would have been nice to have a 4th option.

Option #4: Big bus from Hua Hin direct to BKK airport (http://www.airporthuahinbus.com/) for B305 (not B300, not B310, but B305??) then Bell Travel bus for B200 BKK to Pattaya

Here's my experience with Thai Regional Airlines exactly 1 month ago.

I decided to try Thai Regional Airways a month ago, and booked and paid for a ticket on their website from Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin. The one way price was B2490 but as the TRA flight connected with my incoming flight I thought I would try them out.

My e-ticket was issued from their website 3 weeks before departure, with their assurance that if the flight was cancelled they would get in touch via an e-mail.

Well, my flight was at 5pm today, its now 11.45am so I thought I would call Thai Regional Air call center to verify, good job I did. "There is no flight today at 5pm"... I told them I had a ticket already. "The flight was cancelled, we sent you an e mail to let you know". I don't remember getting it but could have gone to my junk mail. Refund for credit card will take 15 days.

Well, that's the last time I use them if they allow people to book flights and cancel them if they don't get enough people on the plane. Not very reliable, looks like its Taxi time! Fortunately I have a guy that will go from Hua Hin to Pattaya for 2000 baht.. oh well, I was looking forward to my prop plane journey!

Just done Hua Hin to Pattaya with mini bus, bit of an intense driver, five hour trip with heavy traffic.
Pattaya to Hua Hin with mini bus today, quiet good with very little excessive driving, 400Baht one way total four hours.
Really can't complain to much about either trip.

Yeah I took a taxi back here to Hua Hin yesterday. 3.5 hours, it's about as quick as its going to get, was 2000 baht. I will have to try the 400 baht mini bus sometime, I know where it leaves from. It's all about what time of day you depart and on what day. I had a female friend take the mini bus back to Pattaya one day at 2pm and it took her almost 6 hours, very unfortunate.

Just noticed that my Thai Regional flight from BKK to HH has been cancelled and they have suspended all services to all destinations until 31 March. Did fly with them in early November and was a reasonable connection from the LHR flight. Cost 2490 Baht so a reasonable price vis a vis a taxi. Only 2 on the plane - plus two pilots and two staff in the back. Thought it would not last very long. No idea who was behind the airline.

Yeah with than many people you are not going to make allot of money! Too bad, I like the idea of getting to BKK in 45 minutes, very appealing.

Can anyone advise me on how to get a refund off these jokers...???

Booked a flight back in November for mid December. Got an email of them 9th Dec telling me my flight had been cancelled due to (wait for it) "technical difficulties". How the f*ck they knew that a week in advance I'll never know...!!! Anyway, the email said I would be refunded in 15 days. 24 days later, I still have no refund. Been trying to call them on 4 different numbers all day and nobody is answering.

They are also not answering emails.

Any sound advice on any other means of contacting them would be appreciated.

Interesting. Thanks for bringing that up, my flight that was cancelled still has not been refunded 3 weeks later. I guess I will call tomorrow, or try. If you say the number is not working and they don't answer e mails its certainly not a good sign.

I have not responded to their cancellation email yet. Not sure I want to provide unsecured details of the card account for the refund. Will probably try an account that has little cash in it.
