Instead of discussing why not ask the airline, the advert clearly states "All Routes" but then counters it with a constraint. but there is no flight HH to Pattaya.

I still can't get the damned web page to work

Out of personal interest, I've just tried the web site. In the beginning I was getting nothing (I guess there was no availability on the dates I was selecting). I kept changing the dates, and eventually started getting results.

Here's my experience with Thai Regional Airlines exactly 1 month ago.

I decided to try Thai Regional Airways a month ago, and booked and paid for a ticket on their website from Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin. The one way price was B2490 but as the TRA flight connected with my incoming flight I thought I would try them out.

My e-ticket was issued from their website 3 weeks before departure, with their assurance that if the flight was cancelled they would get in touch via an e-mail.

After arriving in Swampy from Dubai, (without my checked in luggage that TG lost in Dubai) I went over to the domestic check in and looked in vain for TRA. I asked the at the information desk - blank looks "mai loo" - no one had heard of this airline. After calling their contact number I was told to check in at Row D. So over I go to Row D but there are only TG check in desks. After asking TG where the TRA check in was - again blank looks - no one had heard of them.

So I called TRA again to be told it was impossible that I had a ticket as they do not fly on Thursdays - which was a blatant lie -their website has them flying everyday and I had an issued ticket. After another 40 minutes of telephone calls and more confusion with TRA insisting that I couldn't have an issued ticket I eventually get to see a flight technician. He was a lovely fella who apologised and explained that there was a fault with the aircraft and the flight was cancelled last night. He was upset that I hadn't been told what was going on, and contacted the sales team to get me a refund on the ticket. More problems here as they weren't able to refund to an overseas bank account.

I was getting a bit frustrated now as I'd been travelling for over 24 hours. I kept my cool and asked my new friend the flight technician about a refund - he apologised again and said he would sort it out. He came back 5 minutes later with B2500 and aplogised for a third time. I am sure from the crispness of the notes that he had just taken the money from an ATM.

I picked up my hand luggage, went outside and took a taxi to Hua Hin. If I had taken a taxi as I normally do I would have been home 2 hours earlier.

Wow that is a very interesting story, sorry to hear about your troubles! I hope I don't have the same problem, starting my journey in HH and going to BKK should not be that bad for me because if there are problems I can always just get a taxi from HH. I will be sure to contact the Call Center the morning of the flight and ask them if the 5pm flight from HH is still running. Thx for the info..

A few more horror stories like this and it won't take long for word to get out and they will go out of business - I certainly wouldn't want to fly with such an unreliable and deceitful airline.

If you don't get an 'honest' answer in the same way as ricardo, you could find it a bit risky - assuming you have a connecting outbound flight to catch.

I flew with this company in October when they had the promotion 1700 B.

BKK to HH: GF and I had the whole plane to ourselves! No drama very nice.

HH to BKK : Seven people on the Plane and felt overloaded. Landed at BKK. Thirty seconds later
plane vibrating badly and came to halt. Front tyre sustained a puncture. Plane stuck on taxi way.
Minibus arrives and we all leave. Captain says sorry!

Maybe the Minibuses are safer??

So the only positive thing about this airline is that when they crash there won't be too many casualties.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

Fortunately I don't have a connecting flight, just catching a taxi from BKK airport so I should be ok. These stories have me a little worried but I will see how it goes!

I am not actually flying from BKK airport once I get there, taking a taxi or bus to Pattaya. I am really trying to test the three methods to get from HH to Pattaya. I go there every other month to see friends.

1. Taxi - Did it last month, 4 hours 2000 baht.
2. Fly to BKK then taxi or coach from BKK airport to Pattaya. Not sure how long this will take total.
3. Minibus, 400 baht, but it does not stop in Bangkok, it goes around to save time. They quote 4 hours but last time a lady friend took it here and back to Pattaya and it took 5 hours here and 6 hours back so as usual, what they say is not always how it actually is, depends on traffic.

Just want to experiment with all 3 to get a feel for total hours vs money spent and see if there is a clear winner in my mind. Kind of wish the ferry was still running, for 3000 baht and a little over 3 hours (from what I remember on the website, would have been nice to have a 4th option.

What I meant jumusman was when are you flying from HH to BKK - with your added info above it seems as though a number of us will be interested in your evaluation and just wondering how long we will have to wait?
