Over a mile wide. Hard to imagine being caught inside this. Terrifying.

Re: Monster Tornado hits Oklahoma
Just watched it on the news here. Tragic.
I am surprised that homes in states in Tornado alley, such as South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and North Texas don't have laws making tornado shelters mandatory. These tornadoes happen many times each year, always with severe loss of life.
Apparently, the school that collapsed was an old design and not "hardened" against this type of event, but with winds as high as 330MPH, I doubt most buildings could have withstood that, but maybe, underground shelters could have saved those kids and many of the other people that died.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

Re: Monster Tornado hits Oklahoma
I heard on the news that The town of Moore was hit by a tornado a couple of years ago and the wind speed was the highest ever recorded at 317 MPH.
In my last post, I put he wind at MPH, it should have been KPH.
