In the meantime, China has committed 80 billion $ to digitize their electrical grid and bring electricity to millions of homes via the solar panels and windmills that they make in China. See Jeremy Rifkin, The Third Industrial Revolution.

The global warming, which there has been so much talk about for such a long time, seems to have receded a little and we are returning to the standards of the 1980s and 1990s,» says company representative Andrey Smirnov.

Scientists Just Measured the Coldest Place on Earth
It's "almost like another planet," and so cold that breathing in the air would kill you.

If it makes the AGW scientists, eco-politicians, eco-warriors and eco-industry parasites happy, then I'm all for it.

Well it won’t make the environmentalists happy as they are already claiming that the area is home for many birds including the endangered Marsh Harrier. If you read the article in the link, the annual output predicted at the solar farm is tiny - the annual average output is expected to yield just 11% of the theoretical 350 MW installed capacity

As we all know, Greenland is warming up rapidly, causing the ice sheet to melt faster and faster. Well, according to the BBC and New York Times, at least. Only one slight problem – the temperature record shows quite a different story.

Solar is heavily subsidized up to 75%. It is intermittent and erratic, the sun sets every night, turning off solar generation, often just when demand peaks. In winter, solar generation drops dramatically in areas with heavy winter cloud cover.

Just imagine the outcry, if instead of solar panels, if they were to place drilling rigs there or heaven forbid a underground pipeline.

Tony Abbott wants Australia to pull out of the Paris Climate deal
"If we had known then what we know now about America's withdrawal, about the economic damage that renewable energy in particular would do to our power system and to our industries, we would never have signed up," he said.

The dire climate prediction made by former NASA scientist James Hansen “significantly overstates the warming” observed in the real world since the 1980s, according to an analysis.

Economist Ross McKitrick and climate scientist John Christy found observed warming trends match the low-end of what Hansen told Congress during a hearing on global warming organized by then-Congressman Al Gore.

“Climate modelers will object that this explanation doesn’t fit the theories about climate change,” the two wrote. “But those were the theories Hansen used, and they don’t fit the data. The bottom line is, climate science as encoded in the models is far from settled.”
