I need to leave Thailand over the Songkran period(visa) and want to go to another country to play golf every other day so 5 or 6 rounds
I have been to Vietnam (well only the Danang /Hoi An area) and also done Siem Reap. So ideally I'm looking to break new ground!
Any ideas? What's Malaysia like for golf?
A while back I looked into Myanmar for golf but was put off it by one or two golfers... any views on that appreciated too
Cheers

Re: Golf trip near to Thailand
I know a few guys that have played in Vientiane, Laos.
I'm sure they played 3 different courses during a weeks stay and gave pretty good reviews.

There is a very nice golf course in no-mans land on the border with Malaysia just past Hat Yai (there is also a very nice course just outside Hat Yai). You can take a half hour taxi ride from the border to the ferry port and get a ferry to Langkawi (about 45 minutes). There are several beautiful golf courses there. It is a tax free island
