Is Black Mountain as good as they say (6 handicap)

It's always in great condition and a good test of golf. As you're off 6, I'd suggest that the 61 tees (6,100 yds) may be too short for you. You might get a more testing game off the 65s.
I hack around to 9.5 and life is always a bit more difficult off the longer length especially if the wind's blowing.
