A Driving Apology

Post by HHTel »

Anyone seeing a farang driving a Pajero at speed on Petchkasem, it was me. Apologies to other drivers especially a farang riding a red Phantom.

I had a baby in the back and was rushing her to hospital. She'd stopped breathing twice so it was imperative I got there as quick as possible. I had my hazards going supplemented by my horn. My wife was hanging out of the passenger window gesticulating and shouting that we had to get to the hospital. Strangely enough, even when driving down the central reservation to jump the queue at the traffic lights, everyone seemed to understand and made way for us.
Then a red Phantom came alongside and started 'complaining'. My wife through tears shouted that we had to get to the hospital quickly. I have no tints on the windows so he was able to see a baby and her mother in the back. Even after it was pointed out the reason for my weaving and speeding, he continued the abuse and obstruction. I do hope he's a member on here.

Thanks to all the other drivers who recognised the emergency.

She's now in the hospital having a lumbar puncture as they suspect it may be meningitis. Hopefully everything will be okay but it was a scary ride through traffic.
My advanced driving instructor would have been proud of me...... lol.

Well done, and I’m wishing all the very best to baby and family.
Can’t say I wish the same for the prick on the Phantom.

Yes, I had a similar experience (minus the Dick on the Phantom) about 5 years ago with our neighbour's baby. Quite scary at the time, but worth it.
