Thanks BB, that's acceptable, I've put off going as I thought it may be longer, I will take a drive up there soon and enquire.

Took my car to the place under the flyover this morning. A few minutes on the rolling road and a sensor stuck up the exhaust pipe. There no more than 20 minutes. Go back Saturday to collect tax disc.
Charges in Thai as I understand them; Test 200 Baht, insurance 645 Baht, Tax 194 Baht, fee 100 Baht, Total to pay 1,139 Baht.

With a car that age the cost should be the same as last year, which is the last entry in the blue book. Should be more than what you have posted. What type of car is it?

I only bought the car this year so never paid last year and the blue book is still at the garage, I have to collect it with new tax disc on Saturday.

I've done a quick Google on price and all I could find is after 5 years it reduces by 10% a year to a maximum of 50% so it's reduced by 50% as it's more than ten years old.

Yes that is basically correct, except that is 6 years and then in the seventh year it starts to reduce and needs inspecting. In the 10th year and after it remains the same. (unless it has been changed recently)
