...And if your rental bike DOES go missing wait about 2 weeks (till the hire company think you've gone home) and lo+behold that bike will be back in line on the kerbside with a For Rent sign on it..welcome to the Land of Scams!

I posted it here, but I'm still not sure what the required documents means, and who requires them. Does it make sense to anybody else?

I've hired a few cars this year, and I've only been asked for licence and passport with one company - and they definitely wanted the original.
