Car body repair shop in Hua Hin
Car body repair shop in Hua Hin
Hi guys just got my car slammed in a back by a big truck. The driver appeared to have no insurance. Mine full coverage insurer also expired long ago I only have a liability one.
So I was told in a Police station that either I get money from this Toyota driver myself or I go to court
Anyway I ended up with just a police report saying that I'm not guilty and Toyota driver with his full of tears eyes said crying that he will pay as soon as...
But now I need to get my car repaired: rear trunk and bumper to be replaced and body straightened and painted.
Can someone recommend a decent shop with reasonable prices. I checked Chana shop on the canal road but they seemed to be a bit expensive. Would like to check a L Service. can someone please explain how to get there?

We know an excellent panel-beating and spray shop in Paknampran.
He's done all our work for the last 10 years on various vehicles, including the customisation of our electric minibus.
His prices are very reasonable and the quality of the work excellent.
He's also very honest and reliable.

I had to get a nasty scratch done on my car after somebody decided they could squeeze their motorbike between my car and a wall. I went to Ford, and told them I'd pay rather than insurance. They directed me to a place about 50 yards before the entrance to Makro.
It is set back from the road a bit with a couple of Thai eateries near the entrance. There's a little bit of waste ground in the front, which is often used to park cars on.
From what I could tell, most of the main dealers direct work here. Cost was IMHO very reasonable.

Thank you very much guys for your advices. I'll check the above mentioned places.
Re: Car body repair shop in Hua Hin
It finally happened, someone pulled out from a side road and crunched the side door panels of my car as I was driving by, crunching my car with their left front corner. Definitely not my fault. I’m fully insured, my broker recommended I take my car to either L Service Garage (across from the Palace) or Thaweesak Garage (on Palau road across from the school). Does anyone have experience with either of these 2 garages, good or bad ?

I would not advise Thaweesak (opposite school at Palau Rd,) Was very satisfied with Chana, Canal Rd.
Re: Car body repair shop in Hua Hin
Is there any reason for not advising Thaweesak please?
I've used them a few times for minor jobs - I found them very professional, and good. One time the paintwork started bubbling after a few weeks - no quibbles, sorted very quickly. They've always lent me a car at well below normal car hire rates.

Typical of this guy, saying 'don't use them' but not giving any reason or even a hint why.
I have had no trouble with Tweesak, they did two bodywork jobs for me and wing mirror replacement/respray. They are also authorised insurance repair shop for some insurers. Even dropped me off at Market Village while I had to wait for a job, and picked me up again as a rain deluge started once the job was done. I like them.
Compare that to the actual car dealer for my brand who resprayed a second wing mirror replacement (don't ask, not my fault that time) basic white instead of pearl white.
Call them on 032 900200 or talk direct to Khun Kla on mobile 085 9941110

Scout, if your insurer said to use one of these, it's probably more than a recommendation. If you decided to use another, you should check first to make sure your insurers will pay out on a repair by them.

I've found over the years here that there's no advantage by not claiming on the insurance. There's no such thing as 'no claims bonus' as far as I know. My insurance stays pretty static year on year whether I've claimed or not.Big Boy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2013 5:31 pm I had to get a nasty scratch done on my car after somebody decided they could squeeze their motorbike between my car and a wall. Well, I have 50% no claim bonus on my insurance. I had a "not my fault" claim a couple of years ago and that did not affect it.I've found over the years here that there's no advantage by not claiming on the insurance. Really! All the years here and I have asked the question with each company I've used and the answer's always been the same. No limit on claims and your premium doesn't alter. I can count the claims over the years on one hand. I've obviously lost out somewhere.
