I recently read that the law had changed and you could only drive a car or a motorcycle round on red plates for one month. I bought a grey import bike - Suzuki 400 Supermoto from a dealer in Pattya and he left me riding the bike up counytry for 17 months without supplying me with the necessary white plates. As ever it turned out that he had registered the bike as a 1994 box of bits to avoid import tax and sold it to me as a 2007 registered motorcycle. I sold the bike through him before it all came to light. I also got stopped on the expressway with the bike in the back of my Nissan truck whilst on red plates and got the usual 400B fine.
