Our Thai son is 15 years old. When he went to a private school in HH a couple of years ago the class were taught English by a Thai teacher who did not speak one word of English, by means of a DVD and English comic books. Same same when he returned to school in our village. Consequently he can read and understand just a little, but does not speak one word of English. He is a bright kid and willing to learn.
Question: We are considering moving back to Hua Hin. Are there any private schools in Hua Hin with teachers who can in fact speak English? We are not looking for a private teacher.
Please advise.

There is a school out near Soi 116..... Sorry.... I do not know the name.....
A friend sends his daughter there....... And he is more than happy with what they do there.....
Others will know far better than me...... But it would be worth checking out.....

That would be the Patravadi High School, attached to the Vic Theatre, Hua Hin on Petchkasem south of the flyover.

Does anyone have children there? It sounds quite interesting.

Somtawin School have an admissions test. As your son is already 15, an age where pupils will be in their 2nd year of IGCSE, it might prove too challenging. However, there's no harm trying.
An alternative school would be Yamsaard School

There are a mix of American, British, South African, Australian, Phillipino and Thai teachers there.
