Chumphon community reef cleaning, Feb 2014

The Department of Marine & Coastal Resources organises these reef cleanups once a year, went along with them to lend a hand:

Over 150kg of fishing nets and trash was lifted off the coral ...

A little off topic but is there much to see and do in Chumphon we are thinking off stopping there on our way back from Samui for a day or two.

There is no set date to it, but it usually happens in Feb or March when the seas are calmer and the viz is better.
