Help me out here!
Anyone remember the name of a song I vaguely remember from my childhood?
It has a sort of military rhythm and each line ends with something like "Ta rum pa pum pum"...
Prize for the first correct answer!

Thanks very much, Frank, that's the one!
I'd have replied earlier but I've been having a whale of a time looking at some of the Youtube recordings.
The most hilarious I've come across is this effort by Johnny Cash...

DM, you missed out the third "pum". Naturally I would have got it immediately if you`d asked the right question!!!

It's normally associated with Christmas for some reason but I'm not a fan of such musical segregation. Blast it out at full volume, DM, and have a bloody good sing-along!

In full vicar mode: it`s about a poor drummer boy who could only afford to play his drum as a gift for the baby Jesus. Here endeth the first lesson.J.J.B. wrote:It's normally associated with Christmas for some reason but I'm not a fan of such musical segregation.
