Amazon UK

Post by robcar »

Just been having a browse for an Android type box for the TV. I have located one on the Amazon UK site that fits the spec I want sooooo......... is there anyone out there that has used Amazon.co.uk??, their website indicates that the delivery takes around 12 days.

Any comments would be appreciated :D

Not used them to send stuff to Thailand and the Thai customs may add duty ?

Have you looked at the Minix Neo X8-H ? Can be bought here and for a few Baht more fully loaded with loads of apps and good support from the seller.

Thanks Pagey, I'm willing to look at the Minix but have not seen one here yet. A PM with the name of the store and directions please would be appreciated. Or on open forum here if the Mods don't mind

I didn't buy it in HH, I bought it from a guy in Pattaya who loads it up and is constantly upgrading it's content. It has XBMC, Live TV , Hola which lets you view ITV and BBC and loads of movie, TV series and sports channels. He has part of a forum dedicated to it with tech queries, updates etc. And of course it turns a normal TV into a smart TV.

I obviously can't name the forum here.

Thanks Pagey for the info, unfortunately no plans to get to Pattaya in the near future. If you can PM the details I will contact him and see what can be done. In the meantime this is the unit I am looking at on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vidon-Box-A31S- ... B00PGV1O1W it might be worth a punt at this price even as a spare

The Minix boxes are also available in Panthip Plaza in Bangkok.

Personally I always import my Android stuff from China, though.
