Any EVE Online Players?
Any EVE Online Players?
Just curious if any board members are EVE players?
Re: Any EVE Online Players?
I used to play it with the free license but worked out I'd have to grind out mining for nearly a month just to pay for another month with game currency.
I love the concept and factions etc thought. A lot of thought's gone into the characters etc.

Looks interesting, any way to play it without having to subscribe and pay the monthly fees?

Battles in the game have even been reported on CNN and BBC news. We had a battle that involved 4000 + players fighting for the same objective. Its a game for adults so you don't have to deal with annoying kids like others games.buksida wrote:Looks interesting, any way to play it without having to subscribe and pay the monthly fees?
Many players don't pay for the game as you can earn in game currency by mining (boring but miners tend to enjoy the social aspect of chatting with their friends using Teamspeak etc), ratting which involves killing computer generated ships, running missions, buying/selling on the vast trade hubs and piracy killing other players and taking modules that were not destroyed or collecting ransom from them when you have them near death then letting them live (or not who said pirates have to abide by agreements).
Then you can convert the isk (in game currency) to a PLEX to extend your subscription for another 30 days.
It does have a steep learning curve that's why few young players endure but the game play and politics are amazing. The ingame economy is so dynamic that it is being studied by universities.
