BBC iPlayer radio
Not sure why, but for the last 2 days I have been unable to listen to any radio stations via the iPlayer radio app on my iPad - I can listen to yesterday's programmes ok so not sure what the problem is - has anybody else experienced this?

No answers, so does nobody else listen to the BBC iPlayer or maybe it's just me experiencing the problem of not being able to listen to live broadcasts, although no problem listening the next day?Dannie Boy wrote:Not sure why, but for the last 2 days I have been unable to listen to any radio stations via the iPlayer radio app on my iPad - I can listen to yesterday's programmes ok so not sure what the problem is - has anybody else experienced this?

Certain programs (such as live football) are blocked if you are outside the UK. It is possible to listen if you use a UK IP-address in Thailand. Identity Cloaker does this (look it up via Google) and there are probably others. With Identity Cloaker you can also watch TV on iPlayer or ITV player.

Re: BBC iPlayer radio
Thanks for the reply and I was aware that certain programmes like Premier football games on 5 Live cannot be listened to, but this is plain old Radio 2 that I've been listening to for ages, but now for some reason it won't play live, but the next day you can listen to the recording?expat71NL wrote:Certain programs (such as live football) are blocked if you are outside the UK. Not being one who listens to UK radio, I thought I'd give it a go. I looked at iPlayer, but for Radio 2 I was directed here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_two . I don't know if this helps, but for the first time in Thailand, I think I'm listening to live UK radio.
[Edit] Of course, I'm using Windows 7 on my laptop.

Thanks Dannie Boy, over 2 hours now, and I'm enjoying it - no degradation to service while I'm listening either.

Re: BBC iPlayer radio
I'll fire up my laptop and see if it works on there because the link you provided needs Flash Player which you cannot load on an iPad, but I have an app that has been working fine for at least a year but then suddenly stopped playing live broadcasts about a week ago although still allows me to listen to it later that day or next day!!Big Boy wrote:Thanks Dannie Boy, over 2 hours now, and I'm enjoying it - no degradation to service while I'm listening either.

Re: BBC iPlayer radio
Well I fired up my laptop and opened the link and it worked straight away, so it's obviously an issue with trying together it to play on the iPad but as I have already mentioned, it used to work fine and still allows me to listen to it once it's been broadcast - BBC TIT?Big Boy wrote:Thanks Dannie Boy, over 2 hours now, and I'm enjoying it - no degradation to service while I'm listening either.
