bars on canal road
bars on canal road
Has anyone been to any of the new bars that seem to have opened lately across the railway line on canal road, I'm normally in HH every 8 weeks for a week or so and noticed there seemed to be a load of new bars open last time I was there. They did look kind of quiet from the outside and never had enough time to explore on the last visit
Thanks
Thanks

Yes it' strange. I too have noticed all the new bars. Some even have UBC and pool tables. A friend of mine who has the only farang bar down there predicted this three years ago. Sometimes the Thai are better informed of the intention of the Testabahn.
I believe that the Klong Road will eventually become the new Binterbaht. The Thai way seems to be to get established and wait until customers arrive without doing any marketing whatsoever. Eventually, maybe years in the future things will change and some of them will be a success.
Soi 88 is on the up as well along with the railway road.

There are a couple that have cropped up along there, mainly Thai karaoke affairs.
A large new place has appeared at the end of our soi (Karat) but its empty most of the time ... they just don't realise the power of HHAD !

You're right snake, soi 88 is south of town, not on the canal road. But I think Guess was just stating that its being developed in a similar fashion to the canal road. Karat village is on the canal road ... I live there, and Klong is the Thai word for canal!

Guys
Thanks for the feedback, They did look like mainly Thai karaoke places. One place on the left (the one with heaps of bright lights) while driving away from the town center were advertising in English a live band at the weekends so I guess they are at least hoping on getting the tourist trade up there.
I'll pop in the next time I'm there and let you know if there any good
cheers

I have a house close by these bars and I stopped in one on my last visit. It was called the New Cafe. The one with all the bright lights. It was a Thai bar with about 40 beutiful Thai women singers. You buy the lays for the girls if you like what you uear or see. Lots of fun.
I made a mistake to activate a wrong knob so I try again. May be the questions are borderline to Night Crawlers forum.
If you think so Admin. then please move it to that forum together with the string.
Do anyone have expirence with the girls in this area and do they talk English or only thai? Do you think they are possible to BF them?

I think it is "lei" , at least it is in Hawaii, a flower necklace of sort right? Anyway, interesting concept and have never seen it over here in sin city. But, I don't go into the Thai bars too often, maybe exclusive to those places? Petelomuamart wrote:I think the concept is available in most of these places. I was barred from one by my ex.
