Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
If your idea of nightlife is scantily clad young ladies making a feeble attempt to dance on a mirrored stage, then look elsewhere..
If your idea of nightlife is good company in friendly bars, with young ladies who prefer to be treated like girlfriends, rather than working girls; then come on down - and enjoy!

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...

Are there no go go bars in Hua Hin? (goes to show my nightlife knowledge and desires!!)uncle tom wrote:If your idea of nightlife is scantily clad young ladies making a feeble attempt to dance on a mirrored stage, then look elsewhere..
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

No go-go's, no soapies to my knowledge although there is a discussion of a possible one here somewhere. Only "bar beers", a couple of coyote bars, and a couple of discos.
This is a family town!

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
Any good massage parlours?
Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
Yes, but it depends on your definition of 'Good'Any good massage parlours?
- Good as in cheap?
- Good as in pretty girls?
- Good as in well appointed?
- Good as in skilled masseuses?
- Good as in extras?
- Or good as in 'it says massage, but it's really a brothel'
The first is a bit of a problem in HH (Chiang Mai massage shops are much cheaper) but all the other attributes can be found quite easily in the middle of town, although not under the same roof.

Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
There's one on the south end of town (west side of the main road) set back a bit directly beside the Bank of Ayudhya south branch. I believe there are also one or two in the extreme north end of town as you head towards Cha-Am but I think all these places are mostly frequented by Thais, which is why they are far from the foreigner bar district.where are the coyote bars?

But don't go inside (unless you're a boring, unadventurous person, with more money than good sense..)Look for the Hilton then head for it

Re: Advice on Hua Hin nightlife
I was driving by the one at the south end of town last night and it's possible that the venue has changed. They used to have big posters of dancing coyote girls out front and those are gone now, but there is still some kind of bar/nightclub there. They have also added an open air building just south of and adjacent to the main closed building now, maybe for a place to go for a snack or drink if you want to get out of the noise of the regular bar.

What about the blind massage?uncle tom wrote:Yes, but it depends on your definition of 'Good'Any good massage parlours?

One that stands out for special mention is on Petchkasem Road, just before The Royal Palace and next to Golden Place. This a Royal Project and massage is carried out by the blind.

I've not tried it - as I get about on foot in HH, it's too far out. What about the blind massage?

If you want a variant on the theme, there is (or used to be, I've not checked recently) a ladyboy working as a masseuse in the Beach Rd - and one of the few LBs who can genuinely fool some people into believing they are female...
