Ta very much, I will have 7 nights to kill, any others?
Re: shows & gigs
Take a hotel room with a body-size mirror. Undress and stand on one foot for one hour in front of the mirror, all by yourself. See, that's entertainment for you!LeftyTadgh wrote:Ta very much, I will have 7 nights to kill, any others?

Perhaps Pattaya would be a better option ?
Courage is grace under pressure and when circumstances change you change your mind.

I think Kendo meant Poolsuk but it's actually on the soi between Bintabaht and Selekam.kaokalok wrote:Can't find a polsuluk road on the map,but sounds funnykendo wrote:Blue Angel lady boy show top of Polsuluk rd.

Re: shows & gigs
Lefty . .you didnt miss a thing.
Unfortunately. .that IS what passes for humor here. (One reason I have stayed away and reduced my HHAD contact to a quick check-in twice a month.)
You are lucky. Usually any mention of the Blue Angel and the thread becomes continuous sophomoric banter between the HHAD regulars about who might have been to the Blue Angel lately and who might possibly have enjoyed the show etc etc.
I decided to post here to add that I have been to the Blue Angel many times over the years. It is a small venue but the girls do a terrific job considering that. I dont know how the place stays open since at times a couple friends from abroad and I have been the only customers and easily outnumbered by the cast and crew. I have great respect for these folks. I highly recommend the show . .especially if you are out for a bit of clean fun and have a sense of humor and even more so if you have lived a sheltered life and perhaps never been to a drag show or had friends who cross-dressed. And it does offer a look at one very common aspect of Thai culture

Re: shows & gigs
So its now only 2 minutes to edit a post??? Great.
I just checked this info and wanted to add it. No dice.
The Blue Angel is easy to find too. The girls are usually on the corner of Bintabaht right in front of the Hilton and the Blue Angel is just down the first street on your left as you walk down Bintabaht from the Hilton.
They do two shows a night around 8:30 to 9:00 for the first show and around 10 (give or take a half hour) for the second show. Entrance fee is 300 baht which also gets you a drink. Enjoy!

Re: shows & gigs
I think that the soi that Blue Angel is on is called Soi Serakam, at least that is what it said on the business card for Join 1 guest house.
Re: shows & gigs
Chas, with respect, you did miss the other thread where LT was given advice about what is needed to get into NC. Something you decry in another thread. When I came on here last night, this guy was throwing one-line questions everywhere and its clear I wasn't the only one getting miffed about this. I suspect thats what got him the response he did in the first place.
