I guess the clue is in the fact that the bar has the Celtic football club emblem (four leaf clover and 1888) as its main sign; also, it has many photographs of Celtic players (including one aerial photograph of Paradise which I would dearly love to own), Calendars, Celtic flags, etc.
Please note there is no football club registered as Glasgow Celtic - the full title of the club is the Celtic Football and Athetlic Club.
Keep your fingers crossed for the Bhoys tomorrow night - I'll be there - as we strive to clinch the SPL title.
And as a Glaswegian, I would advise the colloquial expression is Celik!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hail! Hail!

Well Mr Celtic - that answer deserves lot of respect!
It was certainly all the football clubs paraphanalia on display, not to mention the girls in Celtic shirts, that put me in mind of the Glaswegian footy club when talking about the name of the bar in question!
On the other hand, I have a great respect for Celtic culture and will be experiencing a dose of it first hand from Thursday - in England!!!
And good luck for tomorrow - if you're based in England (cope ok?) and travelling to the game, thats a trek. I have respect for real fans that put the miles in.

Caller,
Many thanks.
I am a season ticket holder and I have bee travelling to home games for the last 21 years since I moved south. I am but one of many who make the pilgrimage to paradise.
I'll continue to hold my season ticket when I move out to Thailand, though I'll probably miss out on the midweek games!!!!
I'm back out next month so you are welcome to join me at Crawfords with my good friend Ken and I'll treat you to some Celtic hospitality.
Hail! Hail!

Well Tam, I now see you hail from the great Cov! In another lifetime, I got to know the City well - based in Bell Green.
I'm coming out in May - dates to be confirmed shortly, so I may take you up on your offer - new spouse permitting (ouch - did I really say that?). However, I have to confess, having watched Crawfords being put together last August, that I'm not a lover of "faux" Irish places - all the ones I know here are real because of the landlord and clientele rather than the package.
But I guess its not fair to compare and the idea of AC has to be attractive! The reviews from the locals are good as well, I suspect I'll be there for a brekky at the very least!!
