I'm surprised to see that on BBC Sport. I first saw it a couple of years ago, and have seen it doing the rounds on Social Media again recently................. unless its happened again.

Thai goalkeeper who celebrated prematurely and let ball bounce back into goal speaks out

https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/thai-g ... al-speaks/

"We probably would have been celebrating, too.

It looked for all the world as if the penalty shot had simply caromed off the top of the goal post, ending the game, and giving 17-year-old goalkeeper Akkaradet Jangporn a memory to cherish.

Of course, unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few days, you know that magic moment lasted about two seconds."................

Well this one's got to qualify...

"The former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra brought back memories of Eric Cantona after being sent off for aiming a kick at a Marseille supporter before his side’s Europa League game at Vitória de Guimarães.

Trouble flared during the warmup as supporters and players clashed and pictures appeared to show the 36-year-old kicking a fan in the head at the side of the pitch in Portugal. Video footage showed Evra lashing out at one of his own club’s fans as supporters reached the advertising hoardings at the Estadio D Afonso Henriques in Guimarães."

More crazy photos at link. I thought the Ulster vs Harlequins rugby match was bad on Sunday, but that was before I saw this article.

Jack Nicklaus played in the annual par-3 contest held the day before the Master Tournament began. His grandson Gary was his caddy. On the 9th and last hole, Jack needed a hole-in-one to take the lead. He didn't get it. Gary was up next. How many grandpas get to see their grandsons hit a hole in one at Augusta National?
