Quite a disappointing result considering.
Then again only ourselves to blame giving away goals like we did.

De Gea, best keeper in the world imo and has been for a few years.
He had a blinder, made a couple of saves no other keeper could have.
He had the rub with a few that just hit him too.

Stone wall pen on Welbeck near the end might have made a interesting finale, then again, the way De Gea played he would have probably saved it with his arse!!!!

Biggest laugh of the game was BT sports choice of m-o-m . . . Lingard

think you forgot the red card Kos should have, then the interesting finale could have been less interesting, who knows.

I didn't forget anything, Kos and clumsy old Lukaku falling into each other like a pair of drunks was hardly red card material . . . . . . and nobody else concerned with the match reporting and analysis thought so either.

I'm sure nobody on Arsenals home and fan page is concerned about that

Just to compare--In the National Hockey League, the Ice Hockey League in North America, they play on average 3 games a week, over the holidays the Toronto Maple leafs played 4 games in 6 days in 3 cities, the games are brutally fast and their travel schedule with teams all over US and Canada is very exhausting. I have never read a complaint.

Absolutely no comparison.

Running around a football pitch (an average of 7 miles per game) V skating around a rink about a 1/3 of the size.

Playing for 95 minute's with a 15 minute break V 3 x 20 minute plays and 2 x 18 minute breaks.

3 substitutes per game v multiple substitutions. The average ice hockey player spends approx 25 minutes actually
playing, in very short periods, so approx 70 minutes resting.

Really no comparison there.
I think most of the complaints come from the managers . . . . . when they lose

Yes,I was a regular skater (twice a week) in my younger years.
Still say there is absolutely no comparison between the two sports and the different fitness levels required.

Not being there and subsequently not reading/hearing everyday, I don't know what's taken them so long with VAR. I thought it was agreed and ready to implement during the off season last year? It's something I'm used to in other sports and you would be amazed what the replays show. Many, many times a reversal of the on-field decision. Pete

Referee Mike Dean said his decision to award West Brom an 89th-minute penalty in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal on 31 December was "wrong", according to referees' chief Mike Riley.

It must really be choking you up :lach:

Just for the record, it comes into use tomorrow evening Chelsea v Arsenal.
