The draw for the Group Stages was made yesterday.....easy for Chelsea.....could have been worse for United and City....difficult for Arsenal and Celtic.

The ghost of Sir Alex is alive and well at Old Trafford!

How on earth Rooney's goal was allowed with Valencia not only standing on the goal line so obviously in an off-side position, but also inadvertently tussling and interfering with the keeper as he attempts to make a save, simply beggars belief!

Truly, truly astonishing and only at Old Trafford!!

Certainly not a special team so far. Same problem as last season, heaps of possession, not converted into goals.

Its interesting, in that we are normally very strong starters, maybe that means we'll finish strong without a mid-season crisis - hope so.

We should have won on Saturday and again, should have settled the game tonight. Something is missing. He came on as sub, hopefully he'll (Mata) be fit to start the next match (according to his blog, he's had tightness in his 'quadriceps')!

Hmm, not a great start for Mourinho. It's not a disaster yet, but a couple more results like the last two and things could get really challenging. It will be interesting to see how the "Special One" copes when the wheels start coming off. And to see how patient his boss will be this time.
This is the way

If it was Rafa that had achieved this start to the season, the whole stadium would be screaming for his head on a platter. I for one will be rooting for Mourinho and hoping that he manages to turn things around... uh huh... I really will.

I see Ronaldo and Messi have started the season where they left off. I have a feeling Real Madrid may just take the title this year though. Saying that it would be nice to have an English club in the final this time round.

I´m sure the Special One's Young Eggs can do better than this. The midfield is very strong with Oscar, Hazard and Mata, all fine, young eggs. It's the attack where the eggs may have gone bad. :D

I see that Torres wasn't even on the bench - must be a prime candidate for a January departure?

What did you make of the penalty that Man U were awarded following the "challenge" on Ashley Young? I don't see how even an avid Utd supporter can consider it was legitimate - the only justice was that Van Persie missed the penalty.
