Good luck in your new home RCer. It's good that you've found a place that suits your needs.

A long tern resident leaving HH, the reason being the inadequacy and possibly the cost of medical care. Anybody surprised??

I don't think that's a fair assessment. I look at Thailand as one of the single states in the US.

There may not be the demand for certain specialty care in one city to support having it in the local hospital, so it's kept at a larger hospital in a larger city.

My care in Hua Hin has been great outside of my cancer treatment. I think it's totally appropriate to have it centralized in BKK.

Cost is cheap here.

Different kind of mayhem in Bangkok. With the rainy season on the way, hope you've checked that the place you'll be staying at is fairly high ground? Pathum Thani is the district where the locals began to grow fins and gills during the last major flood.Think it was under water for almost six months..
My place just next to it was under water for three..
Welcome to the capital..

I agree 100% with you, as medicine gets ever more specialised you need centres of excellence. Get well soon.
