Re: How did you find Hua Hin Forum?
the first 3 months i was living in bangkok with my thai wife and I told her that I couldn't live there (for all the reasons that you all know) and she said she knew a lovely place that her parents used to take her for holidays. we came here for a weekend, found a realtor, found a house that wasn't available for 3 more months, put a deposit in it and moved in 3 months later. we've now been here for nearly 3 yrs.

Hello,
we had not been to Thailand, before we emigrated to Hua Hin.
Actually it was my Filipina wife's idea.
Pattaya and Phuket were not our cup of tea.
And we found the Forum via Google.
Have a nice week.

As for me, I joined simply because I was searching for how to receive a driver's license here. I'm used to the "forum" concept, so this site really appealed to me!

Re: How did you find Hua Hin Forum?
I found the site when looking for marinas and boating facilities in the area. I am looking at moving into the area and have a boat I would like to heave moored at a secure facility. I have never used a forum, so am interested to see how it all works.

Re: How did you find Hua Hin Forum?
This Dutch born Aussie farang found your website because I was looking for input about my new retirement locality, i.e. Takiab.
After a serious due diligence phase, I found your site very informative and I wanted to join in, I decided to use my own name. What the heck!
First arrived in HH via the train in 1992 and fell in love with the place. Mind you, it helps having already fallen in love with the regulation Thai girl.
After 29 years? So far so good.
There's something about HH that is difficult to explain and I discovered that in my expat days here in the nineties.
Have always preferred driving to the west side of the gulf rather than the east in the days I worked here.
I know it sound like BS!
