Rubber snakes

Post by Bluesky »

Trying to find somewhere in Hua Hin that sells rubber snakes. The 20 baht shop had some a few months ago on Soi 94 however they have sold out. Some common or Indian Mynah birds have decided to take up residence nearby. Now these flying sh*t factories are constantly making a mess over the sala furniture and car. Grrrr!

Rubber snakes don't deter mynahs. They've built a nest on the ledge above where I've hung the snake. And the snake isn't just 20 baht, cost me a lot more, the small ones are useless. But it did come already pre-strung with clear nylon fishing line, so I'm assuming the locals find them useful.
I bought it to keep the pigeons away, and so far between the rubber snake and the nesting mynahs, it's a situation I can live with.
Look for them at the local toy shop, maybe even in the market? I bought mine in Bangkok.
