Cot hire

Post by Arcadian »

Is it possible to hire a cot suitable for a 2 year old. Any help would be appreciated.

A few different comments:

1) BAMBIweb.org (Bangkok mothers & Babies International) is probably the best site to ask for this, or more likely find a used one for sale at not too crazy a price.

2) Maybe a good senior management connection at a hotel would be willing to help out?

3) They can be bought for not that-much money at the furniture stores

4) At 2 we moved our monkey from a cot to a "Big-Boy-Bed" without too much difficulty.

Regardless, best of luck!

As pointed out above, you can buy them and many of the furniture stores, or even have one made by the woodworking people. With that said, if you want a cot as we know them in the west, make sure your wallet is fully loaded.....lol. Jokes aside though, you get really nice ones here which are almost a mix between a crib and a cot, and it does them fine until they're old enough to move into a proper bed.

Of course, if you've just won the Euro-Millions Lottery, Toys-R-Us is another option.

Lotus, Big C and almost all the Thai bedding shops have those fold up futon mattresses that you simply put on the floor. You can choose thick or thin and I've found it's quite an adventure for a little one to sleep on the floor on one of those, surrounded of course by his toys and a few of those Thai hotdog shaped pillows. If you're not worried about any creepy-crawlies in the house, one of those is an inexpensive alternative. Pete
