Furniture, kitchen,bedroom,livingroom

Post by sweeex »

Hi,,I need furniture to my entire house! right now it´s empty,, and I guess I need to start with the bedroom, a nice bed! (and to get 1 or 2 airconditioner installed,, )
question is then,, any good shoping complex nearby that have furniture for al rooms,, ? I need recomendations for good furniture stores.
and,, if I buy a aircondition unit at some hardware store,, do they install it aswell? or do I need to have some other specialist do that?

Winner have a good range of furniture, from very cheap to pretty good quality solid wooden stuff.
I don't know if there's one in Cha Am, but they have a store near Hua Hin hospital and one at Index Mall as well.
I was in there a couple of weeks ago and they had some nice solid wooden beds.

Anything from less than 10,000 bt up to silly-money depending on the quality and if you want a high end import mattress.
I would think 20-30,000 for something decent but not ridiculous.
I bought a double bed and mattress for 5,000 bt up in Issan but it's a bit hard on the back!

Regarding AC: Big Kiang is very good. Regarding furniture: Dont do the easy way and only go to Index and Market Village. They ar OK, but not special. Look for some others, there is some "thai looking" shops north of centrum with very good quality. If you want somthing nice and special, go to Cabinet and Beautiful World (north) and WOLF south of HH.

For general, reasonably priced, decent quality furniture (and from our experience very good service) - Big Kiang on the right hand-side after the flyover heading south. The 2nd Big Kiang (opposite Market Village) provided the majority of our electrical goods (TV, washing machine, kitchen utilities etc.) at a decent price.

High quality furniture, WOLF (World of Luxury Furniture) slightly further south on the left hand side.

Sofas/suites, we found Index to best suit what we wanted.

Big Kiang appreciates quantity buying. Should one buy the contents of a whole house from him, a good bargainer can easily get a discount of 10 - 20 % at Big Kiang.
The trick is to really know the prices and haggle down each major buy individually.

Yes, I've done it. Repeatedly.

Winner is a good start the one by the hospital has a great variaty. I got air cons from the store attached to Index very good price and free very professional and clean install incuded. There is a new power buy near soi 88 I would check on what model and make you want and compare the 3 places Index, big klang and powerbuy. You need to bargin with big klang, I found his models older. good shopping. Oh winner has a great arae of mattresses. I got a great one for 13,000 i think it was from sweden and has memory foam,my back has never been better.

If you go to look at Index you should take a look at Beautiful World, about 200m North of Index. Great selection on wooden furniture and excellent service.
