HomePro and Lumber
HomePro and Lumber
Hey,
I just came back from HomePro today and I was so suprised that they sell almost everything except the most basic construction materials like wood. I was looking for a piece of plywood and it took me 10 minutes to explain and draw it to them. They finally came back to me with a bookshelf.
I ended up finding everything I need down south towards Pranburi at a sawmill. I wonder if all the HomePros don't sell wood.

Re: HomePro and Lumber
HomePro had a wood section in the past but was obviously not profitable. Could you give me a direction where I can find this sawmill you mentioned, please. Many thanks in advance.Darius31 wrote:Hey,

It's from Hua Hin towards Pranburi on the Petchkasem Rd. I don't remember any big landmarks to indicate the location more precisely but it's way after the PTT gas station and the big concrete supplier. But keep paying attention to the left side and you'll see it. It's really big, they make teak doors, windows, etc.perfectswing wrote:HomePro had a wood section in the past but was obviously not profitable. I'll have to go that direction again on Saturday, I'll pay more attention where it is exactly and let you know.

Another place is the builder's merchants almost on the corner of soi 94 and Pethkasem - they certainly have plywood and other timber products.
Re: HomePro and Lumber
Or any one of several on the Palau road.

Going south from Hua Hin on the Pethkasem Road, across the flyover and past Big Kiang. On the left hand side after the big seafood restaurant, there are a couple of places selling some decent wooden products - window frames, doors and frames, balustrades, paneling etc. as well as timber and plywood sections.

Darius is correct.
1 is virtually opposite the Kanom sea food place immediately after the flyover heading Sth ( on the right on a corner)and just down from the night market there. The bigger one is further down Phetkasem towards Pranburi past theKao Tao turnoff, past the concfrete batch plant but on the left heading Sth and on a broad bend in the road ( you can't miss it unless you are bling Freddy.
There is also a small Chines shop if heading Nth towards the Kings palace in town on left (facade has tools) but they have a range of beading and the like for cabinet work (real good for replacing the white ant eaten stuff).

Re: HomePro and Lumber
There is (or was, I haven't been there in a while) a big lumber yard on Phetkasem road near Hua Hin Hospital too.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
