Considering that my beloved Phuket is being pushed as the Asian Rivera with building all over etc I'm afraid that it will no proved me the respite I would like. Still going there in a few weeks but even thought I've been there many many times I'm still a punter (its fun) but I would like a look see at HH for a possible residence. My plan is to allow 5 reaestate agents to tour me for 5 hours each morning. From there I will create a short list of 2 agents and do some driving around to have look see for myself. a really nice place in Phuket is 16Mill, doable but why. this is thailand and a nice house sould be 10 million, I guess.
Ok, how do I create the list fo 5 realtors to start with?
BTW, I won't go for Bimbo action....this bus and bull. for Skank my well seasoned LOS nose will get me into enough trouble!
What to do???
Re: What to do???
I always find 'ibble obble black bobble' is useful in situations like this!ITKMAN wrote:

It depends what your preferences are, or what route you wish to take purchase, but you can still easily spend 10-16M or more in the HH/CA Area. Especially if you want beachfront.
If you are interested to know how I bought a Beach Front House (which I own 100% without need for Thai wife or Company), then PM me.

I'd better clarify my last statement.
I do own a beachfront house in my name, with a Company.
However, this can only apply to house developments that were set-up in such a way at conception. This won't help you if you already ahve a property, but my be of interest to those looking.
My house is in a small development of 50 detached houses. The complete complex is registered a condominium complexs. Therefore I, with a maximum of another 18 foreigners can legally own detached houses. Whilst we do not own the land that the house sits on, we are small share holders in all the land that all the houses sit on.
So.. I hope that I have not misled anyone.
But you can legitiamtely own a house independantly in Thailand.
