Try Pala-u
Pala u is just beyond the Sofitel, B 750 a night with air-condition but no pool. Rooms were clean and service good.

Jed Pee Nong on the beach road has a pool, air-con and en-suite.
About 800 Baht last time I checked... but it has been renovated and I'm not sure if the price is the same... or if the pool is still there. Good location though.
You can kip on my couch for 1,000 baht per night ... no pool but the beer's cheap.

Hello,
Planning to visit 21 March -25 March. Coming from our home in BKK with the missus and would like a nice clean hotel near the beach (1000-1500 baht per night range). Not sure whether to get a hotel in Cha-am or Hua Hin. I've never been there and the wife hasn't since her childhood days (awhile back , like me ). We've heard so much about the area, so this is a short scouting trip also for possibly relocating.
Any suggestions?
