Against my better judgement I bit the bullet a few days ago and paid the 50 Baht admission to have a look inside Santorini’s hallowed walls. Of course, the fact I had my granddaughters with me also had something to do with it. This Theme Park/Shopping Centre is situated just off the main highway on your left a couple of miles North of Cha-Am.
As mentioned above, basic admission is 50 Baht per head. Rides seemed to be priced at 240 Baht each (there may be varying prices per ride, but the prices I saw were all the same). There seemed to be a ‘special’ on offer – a ticket which cost 495 Baht, which included admission and up to 7 rides (all of this was in Thai, so this is my personal interpretation). My granddaughters were too nervous to do any rides so it saved me a packet.
All of the streets within the attraction looked the same, although it was very tastefully done, and spotlessly clean. I will admit that not being a shopper, I did not step into any of the shops, so I can’t make any comment on stock or prices.
We eventually found our way through the maze of identical(ish) streets, and out to the main Theme Park area. This was very colourful and spacious.
There were quite a few photo opportunities scattered around the place.
I used to be quite a Theme Park freak in my younger days, but there were only 2 rides here that would have tempted me. The Haunted house was tempting, but there was no way my granddaughters could be tempted to join me, and there was a neat little slide stuck in the corner, which launches you into the air, and you land on a giant air bed. Nobody else was playing, so I resisted. No roller coaster – this is probably the first Theme Park I’ve visited without a roller coaster.
The backdrop to this attraction of the hills made the place look very special.
Very rare for Thailand, but there were numerous safety warnings about steps all over the park.
Very tastefully done, and the multi-ride ticket makes it a viable day out. However, unless my granddaughters grow a backbone, I don’t think I’ll be visiting again. Never say Never.

If your grand kids knew it was there you may have had a wet day. The thought of it in this weather is quite pleasurable!Big Boy wrote:The Santorini Water Park is next door (same car park).

Pete, far from it - they are both wimps, and won't try anything. Even the 15 year old is scared of her own shadow. You won't know the little waterslide at Sport Villa (maybe 8 feet long from start to finish), but they're even afraid of that one . When I see the video of Super Joe's son playing at Black Mountain, it makes me quite jealous.

A very late reply but..........Hahahaha, my girls have no fear whatsoever we it comes to rides and etc. Especially not water park rides which they simply view as being loads of fun. With my oldest two, they would gladly go bungy jumping if they were given half a chance. AS you know, my oldest one is typically very shy and rather quiet, but let her loose in a water park or a theme park and you see a very different side to her.Big Boy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2014 3:47 pm Pete, far from it - they are both wimps, and won't try anything.
