London Bridge is definitely not falling down

I've always been vaguely aware of the story of some crazy American buying London Bridge and rebuilding it in the Arizona desert as a tourist attraction, but I've never read the full story. Interesting, and not so crazy after all!
This is the way

Truly, thanks for posting DM :thumb: I like you, was aware of the story/con that London Bridge had been sold but didn't know much else. Very interesting/enjoyable article!

Fascinating story, although I still prefer the story that he thought London Bridge was actually Tower Bridge. After all, when I was drafted onto HMS Victory for a short stay many years ago, many yanks bought a rusty nail for 10 quid thinking it was taken off the wardroom door and used by Nelson to hang his coat. We had a bucket of water in the mess full of nails 'rusting'. Happy days!

This London bridge I've been to, not the other.
