Newest Camper Van
I bought a 2017 350 FORD Transit Van 12 passenger, 3.5L ECO boost engine
and put in a Futon Bed and containers for camping supplies. Hopefully many
good nights of Stargazing and camping in the future.

LOL - when I glanced at phpjvCklPPM.jpg, I thought you'd installed a super telescope.

Re: Newest Camper Van
Silly question I'm sure, but why not just buy a pucker RV or camper van?

Geezer, what do you do for cooking and cold beers? Is there space? Or don't you bother?

Sorry, you said already containers for camping supplies. Just didn't look like a lot of space beside the bed.404cameljockey wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 3:01 pmPrice was my first thought.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2017 10:28 pmPrice probablyaragon wrote:Silly question I'm sure, but why not just buy a pucker RV or camper van?

Re: Newest Camper Van
I have camped in my van for about 2 weeks this year, I have containers in front of the bed and
the 3 passenger seat. They contain a 1 burner stove, pots and pans, a few dishes as well as I use
paper plates. The other container contains some food cans and crackers and spices, peanut butter,
and some easy cook, noodles etc. I usually have a small table and 2 camp chairs as well as my telescope
supplies and binocs. I did own this motorhome for 4 whole days but it was far more complicated than
I wanted so the seller took it back.

[/img]Camper Pictures
5 years old with may issues, and a gas guzzler 10 cylinders engine, plus power generator
that did not charge batteries very well. It had old batteries that were supposed to be replace
but were not. It was not warm as the furnace kept going out in the night, so I got the van
and command start so I can start the engine from the bed and be warm when I climb out.
Plus the camper was 36 feet long and the van about 20 so I can park the van in my
driveway. Win win situation.
